Some of the concern Edmund had with Jo being in Narnia had eased, though not entirely. The birthday celebrations and being home had helped and he seemed far more relaxed and confident here than he ever did in Fandom.

He helped himself to a fresh nectarine and took a seat where he could look out at the water. "The fruit tastes different here," he remarked to no one in particular.

"It's the sea air," Peter replied easily.

No, it didn't mak sense. Especially since Fandom was also on the ocean.

"The sea air," Edmund repeated. "That must be it." He didn't believe it at all and gave Peter an amused look.

"Can't think of anything else it could be," he said, glancing back at Edmund with equal amusement. "Did you enjoy yourself last night?"
