Edmund hadn't had the best of weeks. First came the chase through the Preserve, although what he was chasing was really anyone's guess. There was a few minute wait as Molly padded over to the door, then opened it. "Edmund. Hey, hi." She smiled at him, "What's up?"

He felt a little self-conscious wearing a sweatshirt and jeans instead of Narnian garb, so he hid it by clasping his hands behind his back. "Will you have dinner with me?" he asked rather faster than he'd intended to do, then realised what he'd said. "That is, I'd like it very much if, I don't know, would you like to?"

Molly had dressed down for the day and was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt - her feet were bare, and her toenails were painted green. That Edmund wasn't in his Narnian garb hadn't fully processed as unusual yet. "I..." Really? "Um, I mean, sure. Now?"
