Edmund unpacked the last of his things into the closet and looked around. He was surprised to get a room of his own, but certainly wasn't going to argue in the face of small favours. Susan had, of course, committed the number beside her brother's name on the sheet to memory; as such, as soon as she was somewhat unpacked, she meandered her way down the stairs to room 222, where she poked her head through the door. "Oh, you would be lucky enough to not have a roommate, wouldn't you."

Edmund couldn't resist a grin. "Maybe Aslan realised I might not fit so well if I had to have a roommate." Or perhaps it was pure chance. "Speaking of roommates, do I have to get my sword or is your gentleman behaving appropriately?"

"He's fine," she assured him, returning the grin. "And if he's less than such, I'll take care of him myself. He thinks I'm mad, though. Expected as much, really. Do you have a big sibling? And furthermore, do you find it as amusing as I do that they went to the trouble of assigning them to us?"

"You'd think you and Peter would be enough to last me a lifetime, but it seems I've another to deal with. Princess Cimorene. Her kingdom is as familiar to me as Narnia is to most people here. Are you sure living with this boy isn't going to be a problem? I could talk to someone and get you reassigned to more appropriate quarters. Keep in mind I'm offering this despite the fact that I could get plenty of amusement of this." He was such a good brother.
