While Jon was out at dinner with Claire, Edmund brought Lucy back to his room. They'd spent most of the day out with Edmund trying not to show Lucy the good parts of the island lest she get any ideas about wanting even more to come to school here ( Read more... )

"But it's not me I want to turn into a pony, Edmund," Lucy said logically. "And I'm sure someone would feed you if necessary. If I were here, I'd make you warm bran mashes."

"Now I feel much better about the prospect of turning into something with four legs," he remarked sarcastically. He gave her a quick look of concern. "You're not coming here though, are you?" He had a disapproving lecture ready and everything.
