[Coming home from the barracks to a half-empty bedroom and all infant supplies/furniture suddenly missing was not the way Yuri wanted to spend the rest of his afternoon. Hell, with the way the room looked, it was almost as if the past year and a half never even happened. But he knows what this means. It's happened once before -- but not to Jonah,

[It's by the lake where she finds Yuri, Repede faithfully by his side. There's a dark, depressing and angry cloud over Yuri that only Ammy sees. It's possibly the darkest she's ever seen hanging over a person, and the rain that's falling over him is hard and painful.

He obviously doesn't want to talk, and she doubts her antics will make him feel better. Ammy isn't entirely sure what's wrong, but there seems to be only one thing that could be wrong to make him feel like this.

But she can't just leave him there, not after seeing him like that. So, Ammy will walk to Yuri's other side and lay down beside him, head close for pettings if he wants to, but she isn't asking for it. She's just giving him company.]

[When he hears Ammy approaching, he only glances at her for a moment. Repede, not remembering her, lifts his head to keep his good eye on her ... until he sees that not only does Yuri seem to know her, but she has no intentions of harming or annoying his partner.

For a few minutes, Yuri doesn't do anything, aside from continuing to watch the horizon. But after that, he finally lifts a hand and places it on Ammy's head, lightly petting it.

He appreciates the company, Ammy -- even if he's not saying a word or showing much of a sign of doing so, he really does.]

[Ammy can get the gist, anyway. She leans her head to the side to acknowledge his hand there and enjoy it, but no pushing against it or making obvious sounds to make him continue, and keeps watching the horizon with him. She understands that this really isn't the time for pushing or headbutting or whining for food and love like she'd do with other people.

She'll just stay until he tells her to go or he himself decides to leave.]

[Considering Yuri probably has no intention of going home until someone drags him back or he decides he's reached his sulking quota, Ammy better get comfy.

... But it'll be almost thirty minutes later that he'll finally say something. Maybe talking it out a little to someone he knows won't throw a pity-party for him (at least a vocal one) will help out a bit.]

... You've met Judith before, right? [... That felt weird to say, but he's not even in the mood to say her nickname right now. Besides, the only people around him are Ammy and Repede -- he's fairly comfortable letting them see and hear him like this.]

[Like a flash, Yuri had whizzed by Karol and out that door. It was one of those "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" moments.

...Thankfully, Karol didn't blink, and he's never seen Yuri so eager to get out of somewhere.]

Yuri! Wait! [He's getting up and running out the door now, though he'll never be able to catch Yuri if the latter doesn't slow down.]

[... Man oh man does he just want to keep blazing the trail, but Karol already saw him -- continuing on when the only way he couldn't have heard him would be by being deaf would just draw more attention to him.

So, he'll slow down and eventually stop, slightly glancing over his shoulder.]

[Oh good, he stopped. Karol runs up to him now, panting to catch his breath once he's there.]

[What do you waaaaaant, Karol? He's keeping those thoughts from showing on his face as he looks over at him, though.]

... What is it? You need something?

[That actually puts him on edge, at first. After all, it means that there's someone close by, and he didn't pick up on them until they made themselves known. He doesn't like that all too much, especially when he's in such a sensitive mood.

He doesn't move or look around, though, aside from an initial glace-around when the music starts up. And over time, he relaxes a bit (as does the dog, who still keeps his good eye open, just in case). Whoever's playing the music is pretty good at it, and while it's not going to fix everything for him, it is calming him down a bit.]

[For a while longer, Yuri just sits there, listening to the music. ... But after that, the fact that there's someone there starts bugging him again. And he isn't one for keeping quiet when he feels that way, either.]

... Not bad. Do you always hide away while playing, or are you just not in the mood to show yourself today?

[ McCoy wasn't paying much attention either, but that doesn't stop him marking a wry remark when Yuri does slam into him. ]
