[ Personality ] :
Celes is described as both pure as snow and cold as ice. When she was eight, she was successfully augmented with magicite and she was placed through military training immediately. As she grew, she lost nearly all connections to the world and was made to do some horrible deeds. Celes grew up without knowing hardly any tenderness, and only knew how to be a soldier first. The woman behind that role was barely there, which made her pure in social situations.

Again, the soldier aspect ruled her life. She had enough battle smarts to completely storm a city with little resistance. Celes is rather direct with her answers and can be cynical. When there is little to none hope, she picks with logic over her heart. She is insistent she isn’t some “love starved twit.” When she met Locke, she insisted he leave her behind because they both can’t make it with her on that condition.

Her and Kefka are very similar. They both hold the same love for magic and she could have very well been in his position if the experiment hadn’t been a success. She is used to violence and fighting, but maintained a moral compass despite all of that. When she is met for the first time in game, she accuses the Empire, the very group that raised her, as being cowards. Celes was disillusioned by the Empire the moment she got wind that Kefka poisoned an entire town’s water supply. When the sincerity of her betrayal is questioned by the group a couple times, she tells them to use their own eyes, or gives them a demonstration that she means what she says.

Celes does possess some warmth thanks to mainly Cid’s influence as well as Locke’s. Back at the Empire, before the start of the game, she tended the roses Cid kept in a greenhouse. She also bit by bit starts learning about this love nonsense she was so adamantly against as she interacts with the thief more and more. She shows a bit of a protective side towards Terra as the story progresses as well, willing to brave her old home in order to help her.

She is shown to be cynical and sarcastic at times, and is still in the awkward phase of figuring out emotions and this friendship business. Celes also has grown to hate wars and even her own existence because it was revitalizing the War of the Magi. The idea of Espers being sacrificed to produce magicite seems to bother her tremendously. Even if she doesn’t agree with the situation, like posing as an Opera Floozy, she gives the role her all. Celes was also able to swindle the Gambler known as Setzer in order to gain use of his air ship and help our Terra.

The previous General has shown to have some stronger tie with Kefka than just comrades. She is hesitant on betraying him in the middle, and for a moment actually considers returning to the group. And most likely, she learned her magic from him.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
She can absorb spells, but while maintaining the focus needed, she is vulnerable to attacks. Spells take a moment for incantations as well. She is a swords-woman and was raised to fight. Versed in sword play/fencing. Still learning about matters of the heart so in that regard she is weak. Thinks everyone is dead.

[ Other Important Facts ] :
Likely learned opera before the events in the game. Could be because the Empire used it as vocal exercises because you have to chant spells to use magic.
Celes likes to collect antique picture books.
I use her Amano design for her outfit, instead of the actual in game green leotard.

[ Sample ] :

rose garden

bubbletastic
