[Somewhere near Harry's house, Sirius is staggering along the path, looking like he's been put through the wringer. He has dried blood on his face, a bad limp, and an arm that looks like it's been broken because of the way he's holding it ( Read more... )

[Harry's been antsy since Sirius disappeared. He doesn't want to think the worst, but then, his experience with being mallynapped wasn't anything he'd wish on someone else. He's sitting on the porch, skimming the journal by wand light when he hears someone approaching. For a moment, he's relieved to see Sirius return, and the next he's horrified to see what they've done. Leaping off the porch and running over to him, go!]

Sirius?! Are you alright!?

[Sirius looks up quickly at the sound of his godfather's voice, wincing slightly as he does so. But even with his injuries, he relaxes visibly. If there was anyone he wanted to see right now, it was Harry.]

Hi, Harry.

[Sirius manages a smile though he can't quite keep the discomfort from his face.]

I wondered what the Malnosso were like, you know. I can safely say I've found out more about them than I ever hoped to know.

[That's such a relief. He should probably ask one of those safety questions that everyone else does, but he's never really believed in those anyway.]

I'm glad to see you again.

[He's glancing at Sirius' wounds, trying to figure out what he can help with and what he can't. Why does he have to be rubbish at healing charms?]

They're really horrible about answering any questions you might have. Those bloody bastards.

[If it's any consolation, Sirius never put much store by them either. He justifies this by thinking he knows his godson enough to tell when something's not right.]

Likewise, Harry. I'm always glad to see you, though I wish these interruptions would be less frequent.

[Sirius scowls as he says this, inwardly blaming the Malnosso for getting in the way of spending time with Harry.]

I noticed, although I really didn't expect anything different.

[He also glances at his injuries, and shrugs idly.]

I suppose I'll have Hermione look these over later, but for now, I want you to fill me in on anything important that happened while I was gone.

[Snape is wandering around Luceti as he has taken to doing lately and he happens to spot someone. And that someone has a wand. Lovely. Unfortunately for Snape, he's kind of between Sirius and Sirius' destination and he's not quite fast enough and he knows it. So he'll just stand there with a completely blank expression and ... wonder what the bloody hell got to Sirius.]

Black.

[action] - Snape feeling nice? well, isn't that a first. onceaprisoner February 12 2010, 06:16:48 UTC
[Sirius is quite understandably in a less than pleasant mood, after being toyed with by the Malnosso. So when he sees Snape standing there, his frown gets more pronounced.]

Snape.

Do you need something, or are you just planning on staring?

[Snape considers himself rather fortunate to not have dealt with that yet. As it is, he doesn't look malicious for once. Just wary... blank... something like that.]

I had wondered where you had wandered off to. Seems even the Malnosso spit you back out.

[sorry, Sirius. He's got a childhood grudge a mile wide and sucks at showing he cares.]

[As well he should, and even though Sirius does not think well of Snape at all, he wouldn't wish that on him or anyone. That blankness is what confuses Sirius the most.]

Oh, I see. You're disappointed. Well, sorry to dash your plans, Snape.

[No point in apologizing. Sirius has as much of a grudge as Snape does. If their roles were reversed, Sirius would be doing the same thing.]
