Clare picked up her phone again. She knew that George and Will had gone down to Florida, and hated to interrupt their vacation, but she was worried about them too.

She looked at the number scribbled on the scrap of paper and dialed.

Typical. Will leant over and glanced at the phone, squinting at the number. It wasn't one he recognised. Once Molly had put the cocktail down he picked it up.

"Will Graham."

"Hi Will, this is Clare Tobias... I'm sorry to call so unexpectedly, but I um, just wanted to check in, see how you and George were doing ..."

[oncecut]

"Clare," Will actually felt himself smiling. "Don't be silly. It's great to hear from you, really." He paused and added, "We're getting there. He'll be happy you called."

Bill was sitting in the corner surrounded by tiny sheets of parchment he was matching into some kind of pattern on the floor. Leaving Gringotts was going to be a longer process than he'd expected. But he saw Clare coming out of the corner of his eye. "Alright, trouble?"

"Hey baby," she said, scooting around the papers to join him. She leaned against him.

"How goes it?"

"Once this is finished, I'll be one happy pet wizard." Bill wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed the bare skin on the inside of her arm gently. "What're you doing, then?"

"I just got off the phone with Will Graham," she reached up and brushed some hair out of his eyes, fingers trailing down his cheek. "He sounds ... like he needs a friend."

Molly blinked twice as Clare appeared on the porch. She was still getting used to magic. Josh was running around still but he seemed not to notice. He adapted quicker.

Stepping outside, Molly touched her shoulder. "Clare, right?"

She smiled and nodded.

"Molly?"

Clare held out her hand.

"Thanks for letting me stop by on such short notice."

"Nice to meet you and no ... don't worry yourself about it." Molly winked, "You can help me take the tray down. I hope you like salad sandwiches.

She took Clare inside and handed her one of the two heaped trays, then lead her down the beach.

Clare took the tray, following Molly and looking about unashamedly.

"This is a beautiful home, Molly. And wow ..." she paused to enjoy the view of the beach.
