I thought I saw frost across the river this morning, but I am not sure if it was just a trick of the mist. However, I do think I saw what looked like a deer behind the trees. I was beginning to think such animals did not exist here.

Which brings me to the question, do we have a hunting party? And if so, where are the weapons kept?

Many people seem to have their own weapons..but perhaps those at the forge could assist you?

No, I am more in search for a crossbow, or bow and arrow.

Most here don't seem to use those, sadly. But it could be made, if someone hasn't so far...

If there are none who use them, then how is game brought down for food?

A hunting party? I don't know. But some of us are hunters.

I would think it prudent to arrange one, as there would be more hands to carry back the kill.

Oh? I've never needed more than mine.

You hunt only for yourself, then.

I'm fairly sure someone has a hunting party organized, but I don't know who it would be. I just tend to share what little I catch with Aaron, and keep my own storage in my home.

Hmn. I would like to know who it is. Having a number of us on rotation would probably prove more effective.

What do you use for storage?

I cleaned out one of these white closets, used an ice spell, and that allows it to stay edible for a little while.

[a pause. even though magic is everywhere here, it still makes him uncomfortable]

Interesting.

You can eat the crazier looking critters, too, but they're a bit tougher on the stomach. Actually, a bit tougher in general.

I would be alarmed if some of the.. beasts here were used for food. They don't look edible alive, nevermind dead.

It's better than us all starving to death. And rabbit-ram souffle isn't so bad. Just not a lot of meat per rambit.

Yes, I have faced starvation before. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Has no one thought to bring down one of the direwolves?

Hmph. Weapons are for neanderthals-

[He cuts himself off, reminded of the fact that Muggles use weapons, and Arthur is, in fact, a Muggle. When he speaks again, he keeps his voice forcibly neutral, though there's a hint of bitter disappointment apparent as well. He isn't too thrilled with the fact that someone who looked like he could potentially be a friend - Draco's first in World's End, truthfully - is a Muggle.]

If there are any deer here, they're rare. Most of them are probably eaten by those filthy half-breeds in the city.

[on the other side of the device, arthur arches an eyebrow at the strained tone. and it has him speaking carefully, though not without the drawl he had possessed before]

Half-breeds. Who exactly do you mean by that?

The werewolves, of course. Those disgusting mongrels have practically overrun the city.

[While it's an exaggeration, Draco's voice sounds a bit more normal when he says that.]

Werewolves?

[this new information startles him greatly, he sounds rather disturbed]

The same as in legend?
