Because the Character Survey of Doom isn't enough for me. Dx

1. Her middle name is Verona. Yes, like the city in Romeo & Juliet. Her mom was an English professor, so she's just lucky that Verona wasn't her first name. Despite that luck, the fact that: a) she shares a middle initial with Ramona and b) people often think her middle name is Victoria, like Ramona's, pisses her off to NO END.

2. She was able to speak functional Japanese when she was still Natalie due to her preference for subbed anime over dubbed. She probably knew enough to carry on a conversation with a native for a few minutes, but she never took Japanese classes. However, since she has sold most of her manga, she doesn't remember much of the Japanese she learned.

3. She regularly attended anime conventions before she signed with the Clash at Demonhead. The last cosplay she did was Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2, which garnered more male attention than she thought she was going to get. She did some karaoke there as a joke and got the entire crowd going, which made her realize that she had potential to be famous. The entire experience made her all the more determined to get Kid Chameleon signed.

4. Her favorite foods as Natalie were strawberry Pocky, chicken teriyaki with steamed rice, and carrots. As Envy, her favorite is Caesar salad, because she gets to eat it--despite its high sodium and fat content--when she's given an excellent performance and/or has lost just a little too much weight.

5. Her measurements are 36-26-36. No, seriously. They totally are, and you should be jealous.

6. As a child, Natalie struggled a little bit with weight. She was never really obese as a kid, but she was referred to as chubby or plump a lot. This made her very insecure and withdrawn, and even after she lost the weight with healthier eating habits and exercise when she was a teenager, she still had that same timid personality in college. Being in Kid Chameleon helped her come out of her shell, and dating Scott also helped her gain some self-confidence. Unfortunately, while Scott and his circle of friends helped her gain self-confidence and keep her from getting arrogant, the endless praises of Todd and Gideon went to her head.

7. Scott and Natalie were a very odd couple in the sense that they didn't need to go out on $200 dates every time they saw each other. They spent time in manga sections of bookstores, played Rock Band to practice pitch and get a sneak peek at songs they wanted to learn, and so on. They never really "went out" unless it was to get away from one of Julie's silly parties.

8. When she first met Gideon, he reminded her of Light Yagami from Death Note, a maniacal genius who rejects anyone unfit for his world. Despite the fact that this should have given her a clue into Gideon's manipulative personality, she sort of became the Misa to his Light, falling in love with him despite his dismissive mistreatment of her.

this will...be added to as time goes on. if you have suggestions for how Envy can secretly perceive your character or other things, let me know~~♥

Black Sheep by Metric, obviously, as seen in the movie:

Brie Larson also made a joke in a behind-the-scenes vid about a single on the new album Of Demonhead that was called "Stop Calling Me." And I thought of, well:

There's also a single entitled "You Suck" on said fourth album, so I like to think that one's something like "Goodbye You Suck" by Shiloh:
