After their.. many, many additional activities that day, it was becoming apparent that Anne-Laurie was ready to head home. She was already, Merlin.. four hours late? She hadn't even really been paying attention to the clock, but the squeak she made when she realised it was noon was show enough.

But before she leaved, she had some business to attend to. Anne-Laurie was the type of girl who believed that one should always leave things the way they found them. Her profession and upbringing had drilled that into her core, in fact. So before she could leave, she found herself tidying up the kitchen, straightening up the bathroom after her shower, and even changing James' bedsheets (tucking them in and even turning them over as any maid would do) and throwing them in the wash before she finally came to him, letting him know she was ready.

She approached him quietly, hands clasped and hanging in front of her body, then cleared her throat to get his attention. "I should be going now," she informed him quietly, accent a bit clearer then than before. "I am late."
