Cordelia practically bounced out the door of the shop, bag of fresh Quidditch supplies (which she picked up for Laurence) in hand. She loved being on the Alley now - one week after Voldemort's fall, and it seemed as if life was returning to the area! The streets were alive, and to her, it was terrific ( ... )

“Hm? Oh.” She smiled up at the young woman, shaking the frilly red curls from her previously distracted stoney eyes. “Yes, I do go to Hogwarts. Lou Prewett- err… I don’t know your name.” She extended a hand.

“Oh, I’m not much of a flyer meself,” she said, glancing distractedly back at the brooms. “Just paused walking to have a think. And… more of a Kestrals fan, too,” she said, slyly, the lilt in her voice picking up a little as if to further national pride, “but the orange is a nice touch, isn’t it? "Oh, I'm afraid... well, like I said- I'm not much of a flyer. Cannons are good... for an English team," her teeth glittered with light reflecting from the glass of the display when she smiled.

"Its nice... but I wouldn't think things would clear up this quickly. I'm wary, yet," she bit her lip and looked distractedly to the bright orange fabric coloring the back of the display.
"Is that wrong? How do we know...he is really gone? What if this is some ploy? To give us a false sense of security? And then just... come back...oh dear." her cheeks flushed pink. "I'm sorry... I'm not bringing you down, am I? How dreadful."
