Have a question? Read the rules and the FAQs below, if we still haven't answered your question, feel free to leave a comment below :)

..

1. What is onceuponabingo?
This is a Bingo community, not the kind of bingo in which someone calls out numbers in the hall, but rather a bingo in which you work for your right to call bingo. You will be given a table of 25 prompts for which you must make fills for bingos. Please read the rules for more information.

2. Do I need to have a LiveJournal account to join?
Yes. Luckily, signing up is free and easy. Simply go to the home page and click "Create an Account". The rest is pretty straight forward.

3. What is accepted?
- Any type of fanwork for Once Upon a Time
- Crossovers/Fusions (Once must play a significant role)
- All ratings
- All genres
- Original Characters for Once Upon a Time

4. What is not allowed?
- Works in languages other than English
- Previously posted works
- RPF (real person fiction)

5. Why English only?
Simply to make our lives as mods easier. We can’t moderate submissions or answer questions if we can’t read/understand what is written. Sorry for any inconvenience.

6. What are the requirements for each fill?
The minimum requirements are as follows:
• Bookmarks: 6
• Drawing: 1 (digital or hand drawn)
• Fan Fiction: 500 words
• Fan Mix/Soundtrack: 1 fanmix (10 songs, front & back covers)
• Friends Only Banners: 6
• Gifs: 4
• Headers: 4
• Icons: 10
• Manip: 1 (500x500 pixels in size minimum)
• Meta: 1000 words
• Moodtheme: 10 moods
• Painting: 1 (digital or hand drawn)
• Picspams: 10 coloured screencaps
• Podfic: 500 word fic
• Poems: 10 lines
• Sigs: 6
• Stickers (GetGlue): 4
• Tumblr Graphics: 4
• Videos: 1 minute
• Wallpapers: 4
• Anything else you wish to make, ask us and we can work out a value ;)

You may, of course, go over the minimum; you just cannot go under it.

7. One or more of the prompts on my card are triggering to me and I don’t want it/them on my card, what do I do?
We do ask that you look through the lists of prompts before signing up, if any individual prompts trigger you, or you simply do not want to deal with a certain category/list, please let us know so we can exclude it from your card. That being said, things happen, so if you still get a prompt on your card you are extremely uncomfortable with, just PM a mod (theonlyspl or  ariestess) and we’ll work with you to improve the card to better suit you.

8. What are the prompt lists? Why do you have more than one?
We have decided to make several prompt lists in order to meet everyone’s needs/wants as well as to allow members to avoid certain types of prompts they may not be comfortable working with. Despite the lists they are in, however, all prompts are up for interpretation. The available lists are as follows: general, art, kink, hurt/comfort.

Think we should add something? Let us know!

9. Can I get more than one bingo?
Yes! Of course. You may play as many times as you like, sky’s the limit!

10. Can I collaborate with someone to fill a prompt?
No. You may only do so if you sign up together and fill all the prompts you do together.

11. Can I collaborate with someone to complete a bingo?
Yes, but only if you sign up together. In such a case, every prompt must be filled together; you cannot “split the work”.

12. Can I mix and match fanwork forms for one prompt?
No. But you may mix and match for the bingo as a whole.

13. Can I request a new card?
Only after you have completed a bingo. However, if there is anything triggering in any way for you on your card, just let one of us know and we’ll replace that prompt.

14. Can I suggest more prompts for one of the lists?
Of course! Just reply to the Prompt Suggestions thread below and we’ll add them.

15. Does each fill have to be 1 work or can I split it (i.e. several drabbles instead of a long fic, several videos/soundtracks/picspams/poems instead of 1)?
Yes, of course. As long as it adds up to meet the minimum requirements we don’t mind how you get there.

16. What about rating?
There is no maximum or minimum rating, anything goes. Just be sure to indicate the rating and any warnings when posting/submitting.

17. Where do I post my fills?
You may post them absolutely anywhere you like, as long as it is public. You may not, however, post them here until you have completed a bingo, at which time you will be providing links/summaries and not posting the work itself.

18. Where do I claim bingo?
Once you have completed a bingo, you are to make a post to this community with summaries/links to all the fills for that bingo. For more information, please see the posting template.

19. Can I combine my onceuponabingo fill with a fill from another challenge?
Yes! As long as you label it as being for onceuponabingo as well as the other challenge, and of course that the other challenge also permits this.

20. Do I need to post every fill to this community?
No. You are only to submit a summary of completed fills for a bingo once you have completed it. You are not to post individual fills to the community. For more information, please see the posting template.

21. My card sucks. Can I get a new one?
You may of course ask for a new card, but only after you have completed at least one bingo.

22. I've submitted a line bingo and now I want to do a blackout on the same card, can I just fill the missing squares?
No. You will have to create new works for the ones you had done for a previous bingo. You may reuse the same squares/prompts, but the works you submit must be new.

23. One of my ships doesn’t appear in any of your prompt lists!
We try our very best to include all pairings and characters canon or not, if we’ve missed any, please do not hesitate to feed us new prompts through the prompt suggestions thread. Once we’ve added your prompts, we’ll delete your comment :)

24. I’ve completed a bingo, but my card and I have created a special bond and I don’t want to ask for a new one, is it okay to continue using it?
Yes, of course! As long as you make a new fill each time you use a prompt, you may use the same card/prompts as many times as you like!

25. My card has inspired a great idea that combines multiple prompts on my card; can I make one fill to cover all those prompts?
Yes, but only if you are working for a Combo Line or Combo Bingo. Otherwise, each fill must be for an individual prompt. For more information, see points and scoring.

26. I don’t understand what my prompt means. I’m confused by its existence on my card.
PM a mod and we’ll do our best to explain it to you.

27. How much focus should I give the prompt?
Your work needs to have more than just a passing/singular mention of the prompt. It should represent/deal with the prompt in a significant way throughout the work. Remember that all prompts are completely up to interpretation.

28. What is the WILDCARD?
This is a square for which you choose the prompt. You may choose any prompt from any of our prompt lists. This is not a blank/vacant square, you have to fill it if it is part of your bingo, you simply get to choose which prompt you use.

29. I have a question that this post has failed to answer, what do I do?
Please make sure you’ve read through all the rules, if you still can’t find the answer to your question, feel free to contact a mod (ariestess or theonlyspl) and we’ll do our very best to answer it.
