g_esquared on shelvability(index) arashi rpf, and the very occasional jdrama. i'm curious -- do you think my style has changed? since, say, 2009/10. for the better or for the worse? but really, say anything at all. :D
GEE, GEE, I WISH YOU WARNED FOR THINGS!!! you wrote that one fic a few months ago wherein arashi were old and nino had alzeihmers or something along those lines i was wrecked for a little bit afterwards and now i always feel a little uneasy, clicking on your fic links!!!! like, oh gosh, i mean, i know warning for alzeihmers isn't perhaps...super common... anyway i am very needy also your writing is great but if you were wondering why i haven't been commenting so much it is because i have been afraid to click on the links. XD
i mean, you should def. keep in mind that i am one of those people who, at this point in my life, would happily warned for everything in content notes. XD so i don't know, take it with a salt shaker or something.
it occurs to me...should this even go here. it's not exactly a real criticism. hm.
aaaaah, elfie, elfie, i had no idea DDDD: and trust me when i say i'm really, really sorry. i know what it's like to feel kind of messed up after reading something, and i'm sorry for springing that on you. D: and no, i do think it's a real criticism, because i have a problem with giving warnings - in that i hardly ever do it. i just think and think about it until it seems less provocative and/or controversial than it was, and that's really not the spirit with which to give warnings. hmm, i shall approach this with more thought next time and be sure to warn more liberally.
on another note, though... (BUT STOP HERE if you don't want to read anything about the fic) i honestly wasn't thinking of alzheimer's when i wrote that aiba/nino fic. it was loosely based on yoko ogawa's book the housekeeper and the professor. the professor has only eighty minutes of memory, and that was the sort of nino i had in mind when i was writing it - someone who has lost his long-term memory, and doesn't have a clearly-defined sense of the past anymore. but

I love your mind. You have some very very interesting ideas that I haven't seen in any other writer or fandom so far. But I think you sometimes start writing a fic without knowing how to end it and that shows. I usually love your drabbles and your one-shots but you dropped one multi chapter and the ending of soulxsoul was not as awesomely wonderful as the beginning. It was still pretty good but something was lacking. With drabbles and one-shots you often give a sort of open ending where the reader is meant to assume something that lies beyond what you've written (and you are very good at that). But sometimes you need to bring stories to a close and give your characters a proper motivation for their actions. Apart from that you are near perfect in my eyes.
Sorry for the lateness of this reply! And thank you so much for your comment, and feedback!
You really hit the nail on the head, too, and I think that is one of my biggest failings as a writer - starting things without a clear idea of where they are going. SoulxSoul definitely suffered from that, and a lot of the time I just want to go back and rewrite great big chunks of it. Endings in general, wrapping things up, is definitely something I have trouble with. But I hope I can keep working on it and improve as I go.
I suppose squeeing wouldn't go over well at a concrit meme?
I have read your fiction from several different fandoms and it was always interesting and a good read. Really, you are one of the authors I read when I want to cheer myself up. Sorry for not providing any helpful hints, but honestly, the thing I would advise would be 'don't change anything'.

Arashi fandom; I kind of missed the boat on this meme last time, so I'd love to hear what people have to say!
