Guhh, you brilliant person, you. I love this so much, my heart does some kind of stupid cartwheel thing every time you update. And, well, I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure Cartwheel Heart is a fatal condition. So, if my comments just suddenly stop, it's safe to assume that your fic has killed me.
No but really, this is so, so, so very, very, veryveryvery lovely. Not just Jesse and Andrew -- who are perfect, btw, you write them amazingly -- but also Anna and her plants, and Ellen Page, and the Indiana baseball cap (I have so much love for that hat), and Andrew's ridiculous clothes, and Jesse thinking about Andrew's hipbones, and the cigarette memory, and all the texts and the jokes, and the cats, and and and mold spores. Andrew nods, hangs up his last shirt, and looks right at home there in Jesse's space. He fits in so easily. He's taken up a corner of Jesse's apartment and a big chunk of his heart.
I just adore how Andrew fits in so easily, while Jesse is kind of neurotic about things. It's a lovely balance. Also, ugh, a big chunk of his heart. I most certainly did not put a hand over my own heart and say oh at my computer screen, no sir.
Andrew nods, says, "Sure, let me grab my phone," and Jesse realizes he's probably in love with him.That's probably my most favourite bit, because it's just so wonderful how it's this really, like, really ordinary thing that makes Jesse realise he loves Andrew. Just, you know, "let me grab my phone", and then it's just like... I don't even know, I just really adore that bit, because it's not some kind of larger-than-life moment, it's just "let me grab my phone", and it feels very real that something small like that would make someone realise they're in love. I love the slow pacing of this story and all the delicious feelings between Jesse and Andrew. They are so adorkable!
