how is it that all these college kids can work shitty part time jobs and make no money, but still afford to live on their own in an apartment, pay for utilities, food, cars, and everything else? i wanna know their secret damnit! i need to get out of here.

My guess would be student loans, lots of roomates, an older car, and eating cheap. Least I did that for a while. And it took my folks help to do even that. I dunno. I did have one friend who'd work his guts out over the summer and save enough to not work and just do school in the fall/spring.

They live with four other people in that apartment...cutting the rent in fifths, which eventually discegrates lower to those who end up with boyfriend/girlfriend that moves in and disrupts the living environment and pays. Utilities? No, light=pyros...fuck flourescent lighting. Food?! Alcohol is more important...beer=yeast=bread? Cars?! Ahh now we are getting somewhere, after the parentals paid that off they bought 700 dollar systems to put in thier cars.
Oh yeah, parents pay for college, kids cheat and get good grades to "impress" parents.
Ok I just took that way to far. Gotta love it though, so true, so true.
