So I haven't written here in a month of Sundays, maybe even longer than that. I have been busy, working full time and taking 15 credits a semester at school. I also had a time with no Internet at home. I had major laptop issues which was supposedly a problem under the warranty when I got the laptop, so they sent it away...for 6 weeks! got it back, ( Read more... )

Heh I used to work for Geek fraud. Worst people ever! They even use false codes on software they install, so 90% of the software they use is ILLEGAL. I'm so glad I quit - I was hired on as a tech, then they tried to force me to sell people things they didn't need, and docked me when I didn't make people buy that crap.

It was very clear that they were trying to scam me out of something. I had the 4th demension guy write up what happened, and am trying to figure out if I should turn this over to someone....I bought the laptop in may, and it didn't work, took it back the next day, the guy said (and I quote) "you couldn't have done this, this is a defect in the screen" so they had to send it out. OK that's normal, but then they never called and said it was back in...I called them and was told it wasn't there, and I called back a week later to find it had been there for 16 days. went and got it, took it home, didn't work. took it back, and they had to re send it out....sent it back saying that the part tested fine. I made them start it up right there to prove that the screen didn't work...guy tells me its a software issue and I had to pay (a LOT) for a new software program to fix it. I was pissed so I took it to 4th demension and the guy took a look at it, and it wasn't screwed in right, so part a wasn't set tight enough with part b so the computer ( ... )

Ugh, I hate computer issues. I am not good enough with them to know how to fix anything so I always want to, you know, TRUST the people I have to pay to fix it. We've had probably 4 computers crash on us in 10 years (plus a laptop). Last year we did learn how to replace a power supply, which fixed that problem but then there were more issues. So, I'm glad you got yours back again.

Sounds like you have been really busy, sometimes that's a good thing. Glad to hear things are going well with you and the hubby.

I like the new page, the blue is very calming!

If you want to be nasty:
Write up what happened to you, give a copy to your local store and then to the State Attoney office for fraud.
Stand back for the fire works and back pedaling.

It's good to hear from you.
