I don't get spam - it sounds like you've been unlucky. If you do decide to delete the account, be sure to use ljbook.com first so you can keep your LJ history.

I intermittently get Russian spam on public posts. It's not consistent but I started to put filters on who can respond and that stopped it.

I haven't been getting spam recently. Then again, I don't post a lot of unlocked stuff. I have gotten the occasional Russian spam in the past, which gets reported, and the user gets smacked hard with the ban-hammer.

what I think I need to do is change posting options, when I used LJ, I had it set in a way that only I my friends could post, and then I let everyone post after that, so I get a bunch of stuff in Cyrillic that I wouldnt know what to do with even if I wanted the product they are selling. LOL
