ETA I'm happy that they are looking into all of this, but I get mad when I see just how many mistakes were made. I keep thinking, what they didn't "see" this comming?

When I went down to Louisiana in early September on a Katrina relief run (documented elsewhere in my LJ), the whole time I was there (10 days) I saw one (that's ONE) FEMA vehicle. All it was was a Ford Ranger pickup with a XEROXed sheet on the dashboard that read "FEMA relief vehicle". And it was parked at a fancy restaurant. It should come as no surprise that FEMA is a four-letter-acronym. Meanwhile, everybody we distributed our goods to asked in shock and amazement, "Y'all drove here form WHERE?!?" It was a good trip.

Just have to say "Drops of Jupiter" is one of my favourite songs :-)
