4:45. Coming in from the beach where Roger had been swimming in the cold (he clearly had a death wish), it was 4:45. That meant that he had about 15 minutes to shower and get dressed, which sucked because since he wasn't listening to Mark freak out about the water bill, he liked to take lengthy showers. He managed to keep it to about 16 minutes

The past couple of weeks had been, well, fairly agonizing, as though Prior and Roger had finally gotten their relationship back to a good place, they seemed to keep having bad luck when it came to carving out time to be together. They both seemed to want to handle things organically rather than planning something elaborately (because nothing spoils the mood more than planning sex to the degree that it ultimately can be nothing but a disappointment), but Prior was on the verge of just telling Belize to get lost for a day.

In any case, he was somewhat surprised to find himself in Roger's room with neither Roger nor his roommate there. That was a first.

... and then Roger walked in. Wet. Mostly naked. Breathing heavily.

Prior was sitting on the bed, and his mouth dropped open. Speechless.

Prior and Roger had spent so much time not having sex that Roger was kind of forgetting how it worked. Well, the working up to it, anyway. It seemed like something was stacked against him, and he was this fucking close to telling Hunter just where he could study for school or whatever the fuck he was doing.

"Hey. I'm sorry. I was swimming." He ran a hand through his soaking wet curls, towel hanging on at his waist. "And then I was showering. Obviously."

Prior pulled himself up from the bed, crossed the short distance between them, and pushed Roger back against the wall, crushing him into a kiss.

A surprised 'mmph' was elicited from Roger's mouth and his arms went around Prior automatically. The surprise melted to a moan, and he pressed back against Prior.
