The results of the presidential election have restored a lot of the faith I felt I was losing in my country, however this is tapered by the passing of Proposition 8 in my state. Proposition 8 amends the state constitution to define marriage as only between and man and a woman. I hope this shall be taken to court and stuck down, just as Proposition

Someone at work put it just right and into perspective, 'it's sad that there are more animal rights people than human rights people'. That being said after prop 2 was passed.

Wow, I hadn't stopped to look at it that way. They're right, that is a sad commentary on society. Though I'm sure the battle isn't over yet.

But hey, on the bright side... No more campaign ads, calls, and junk mail! Seriously, that's the BEST part of the election ending. XD

Yeah. I'm even more glad because having Sarah Palin anywhere near the White House terrified me more than anything else, I think.

LOL, yeah, I don't think they put much thought into picking her. They might have had my mom's vote if they'd picked somebody more sensible, my mom was leaning toward McCain after Hillary lost the primary. But Mom's been reading up on Palin ever since she took on her own party's incumbent back in Alaska, so my mom had all the info she needed when they announced Palin as McCain's running mate.

Our next step as citizens is to head on over to Home Depot to buy gallons of black paint. It's time to color in the White House!
