is punishment a fair retaliation for insecurity? if there is no trust in a relationship is it a functioning relationship. but if someone knows what pisses the other person off and they don't do it anymore, if they make sacrifices shouldn't they expect the same kind of respect from the other person? at what point is sacrifice just considered a loss
