Okay, I'm a bit late to the party for this run, but you all know how it works, anyway: tag in and I'll provide whatever I can make coherent about what Grif thinks of your pup(s).

Oh, my!

Anyway, Njoki is awesome! Once upon her time, her whole thing about turning into some animal monstery thing would probably have scared the crap out of him. With the years of Nexus experience he's got under his belt, however, he's taken it instead as Just One Of Those Things, and enjoys that he's got a friend who turns into something like a big cat. He likes cats, after all... Maybe wouldn't necessarily have kept any at home (having enough trouble keeping house for himself and Sister), but friendly enough with the ones around the neighborhood.

He can also get behind her cynical, wary, common sense approach to dealing with Nexus crazy. Altogether, he probably considers her one of the closest friends he's made.

'Lita is... weird. Presumably, that's because of the non-specifically mighty powers she wields, which, between her and Yuuko, he pretty much figures is the kind of thing that'd make anyone a little off-kilter, so while it maybe makes him a little unnerved at times, he's mostly okay with it. Generally, though, he tends to deal with her on the level of booze and frivolous conversation, so he doesn't have to worry much about the power thing.

Well, okay, also, he occasionally gets a little annoyed by the somewhat condescending-seeming way that she calls everyone "Sweet" or something similar, but as personal quirks go, he'd probably have to admit that it's relatively minor.

She's quite a bit off kilter and pretty much embraces it for the most part. As for her power, she can only use her wards in defense of herself, and anything for anyone else generally requires a wish.

As for the 'sweet', thing, it's pretty much just that, a quirk she's retained since forever. She doesn't really mean it condescendingly, it's just Something She Does.

:D? (Or, more likely: >/? ;D)

Also Shel, since I'm not going to bother with logging out and in and such without LJ Login at my current disposal.

I'll start with Shel, since she's simpler, in that she's a more or less okay seeming person that he's okay hanging out with but doesn't necessarily entirely get all that well. (Also, he'd be aghast at Tucker having apparently scored, if he knew that, which he doesn't.)

As for Simmons... Oh, dear. Grif tries to not make Simmons the target for continually dumping on with the heinousness that his life has been made because of the war. He really does, but he's got a lot of anger built up over the years, part of which included his own Simmons having taken all of Sarge's orders to try to kill Grif seriously, which Grif is at least glad this Simmons apparently didn't do. And since they have at least more or less similar experiences, Simmons Should Understand, Dammit. So, yeah. He should run out of steam on that eventually, though, at which point he'll be okay with treating Simmons with the kind of jokey camaraderie that he and his version only ever really managed in small slices.

Elizabeth: Ah, the den mother of the now slightly fragmentary Shenaniclan. Well, as previously mentioned in past conversations, he doesn't really consider her any sort of replacement for his mother, though he still has adequate Fear for when she gets That Tone at whatever he might be getting up to. He still considers her a good friend, and enjoys spending time with her, although they haven't done that so much since she went on vacation ( ... )

The Sovereign Nation of Arista is interested in Grif's opinion.

Aristans are, as a whole... nice folks, but their whole super-Roman military society stylee, combined with how they're apparently all fairly casual about hitting on/hooking up with anyone that meets their personal standards confuses the crap out of him, although he's future-cosmopolitan enough that it doesn't really offend him, as long as everyone's a consenting adult. He would, personally, be disinclined to trust to just having tough skin without significant armor in a combat situation, but if things came down to it, he'd be okay with fighting alongside them. Other than that, they're pleasant to hang out and hang out with.
