Hey, the moon is still very romantic, especially in Bollywood movies. Where I come from, a pretty girl is likened to the moon because we consider it to be a thing of beauty. And the most beautiful thing about the moon is that it is imperfect, it has a scar just like we all do. It shines brightly but that light is borrowed from something else. It's a reminder to us all that we should never be conceited, or self absorbed in our appearance. Everything we have is borrowed beauty, flawed beauty.
The moon does not consume itself with pride, and neither should we.
