I'm having surgery Thursday afternoon for what the doctor had previously thought was a cyst and now thinks is a tumor. They don't know if it's a benign or malignant tumor. They won't know until I'm in surgery and they can take a sample and look at it under a microscope. If it's benign, they take it out and all is well with the world. If it's

Andrea and I should be fine on our own if you're worn out or sore, since weather.com thinks it's going to be a pretty nice day (so I can drive, since Andrea will be sleepy).

Sure, you can come up with us. It's supposed to be pretty nice (40ish, no slippery stuff falling out of the sky) tomorrow, so I am happy to drive. (And I bet you might actually know the way! I've been, um, once, and Andrea cannot remember ever actually being the one to drive there, so was consulting Google and so on.) I'll be back at our apartment (to get Andrea) sometime between 1:30 and 2:00, and will call you then and we can come get you?

Wow, that all seems so sudden... thoughts and prayers are with you, definitely. And no worries about Thanksgiving, just relaxing close to home sounds a lot less stressful after surgery than driving along old bumpy roads to visit a houseful of rowdy relatives.
