First fic in a new fandom. ♥

I didn't realize how difficult twins/Haruhi would be to write until too late. I can't write threesomes, and the twin factor really threw me for a loop. Don't get me wrong; I adore the twins and am all for us vs the world fics, but I started this story with the intention of Kaoru/Haruhi and Hikaru/Haruhi, and I couldn't seem to flesh out their

I didn't want my first fic to be angst, but I actually can't out-fluff actual canon, so why even try. XD (and it's not reaaaally angst, serious!)

This was really bittersweet - just the way I like my chocolate...and twins of course (and maybe as a combo too? Sa...who knows? >D). :D I really see their relationship with Haruhi as a frustrating but complicated one and although the outcome may be happy for one twin if they get their way...there is no way this overall relationship can survive some sort of horrible tragedy or sacrifice. Or at least that's how my brain sees it. Niiiice work here. It was a great read. :3

That's the kicker, I think; while it's possible for a happy (or at least not-tragic) outcome to occur with Haruhi (or even as they grow older), the twins will never be like they were before, tight and isolated and in-sync, which is in its own way a tragedy. Of course, if we followed strictly the boundaries that canon sets, fandom would have a very narrow ground on which to stand. XD

I suppose that is why online fandom exists. ^^; I only know of one other person at my school who watches Ouran, and she is my best friend and online cohort.

This is the fic I've expected since episode 5 of the anime and no one could have done it better. God, it hurts. So much. But it was beautiful and this in particular (he and Hikaru viewed their bodies as extensions of each other) struck me with how true it was and how I've yet to seen it put to words quite like that, but that's exactly what it is.

It is good to know that I am not alone here in my little raaaage corner! This series wrecks hell on fandom license, weep. How far is too far? And what constitutes as OOC when IC would have the twins acting out homoerotic scenes for screaming fangirls? WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE SERIES MOCKS YOU RATHER THAN THE OTHER WAY AROUND?

Plus, there's the bit where I'm whining for happy twinsfic and wondering if that's at all possible. Then I think I can abandon them for a happy bit of Tamaki/Haruhi spazzy fluff, until I get sidetracked by Kyouya and hot he would be with Tamaki (plus the history!), or the sweetness (if implausibility) of Mori/Haruhi, and then WHAT ABOUT HONEY? I think I use that emoticon too often in relation to Ouran, which kills OTPs and, you're right, laughs about it.

As for the fic, it's one of the best I've ever read on the twins. I really don't think you have anything to worry about in respect to their dynamic. Are you going to be writing more? ::hopeful::
