there's something so magnetic about investment banking/high finance, isn't there? I totally get the allure, though I also think the industry makes for better stories told second-hand than actually having to live through them. still, there are definitely people who thrive in it! So many things but first of all, you know that I am a sucker for Jongin, and that I'm particularly a sucker for this dynamic he has with Sehun and Lu Han where he's an ass to both of them in different ways and it's just because he doesn't know what to do with his ~feelings~, but especially I love the dual role you cast Sehun and Lu Han here, where they help Jongin affirm and question his decisions and lifestyle, and Lu Han does it because he knows Jongin, whereas Sehun does it because he doesn't know Jongin, but it's just so delightful! When you write about Jongin feeling like Sehun's refusal of the offer would be a personal affront to Jongin, it's like I was instantly reminded of Lu Han, and WHAT A WONDERFUL IMAGE THAT IS, Sehun dressed ( ... )

I'M GLAD MY LARGELY ANECDOTAL AND GENERALLY USELESS KNOWLEDGE OF BANKING could be used in such a productive way. :> it's funny that I didn't take a single business/economics course in college, didn't even know a single person in the business school until midway through and then spent the next few years in a whirlwind of international kids, finance, and banking. @_@ if nothing else, at least I've accumulated a lengthy list of buzzwords and can now tell if guys at bars/parties are being disingenuous when they say they do ibanking but in actuality work in a (gasp) mid-office position. /eyeroll ( ... )
