I wonder how old Tono and Kyouyasenpai are; Hanisenpai and Morisenpai at home. And Haruhi. Kaoru, are we the same age as Hanisenpai and Morisenpai now? Are we older than Tono? Would we still be class buddies with Haruhi, too? We never even started our second year, but I guess we'd be seniors now, if we were at home. Maybe it doesn't matter - maybe we're actually still sixteen, and our seventeenth birthday that we had here didn't mean anything, and neither will our eighteenth one. Didn't you read something like that once? That time doesn't matter? I think it was a play... Maybe Charles has read it - time and birthdays don't really matter for him, either, do they? Is that what Planet Poverty is really like?
We arrived here on our birthday, but I can't really decide whether it feels like it's been a year or not; maybe it feels like less, maybe it feels like a lot more. It's really weird.
Maybe we'll go home on our birthday, too.
