It was blistering hot on a summer day. And that was the day that the air conditioner in the Super Junior dorm had to break down. Eeteuk and Donghae had busied themselves by turning on all the fans that they could find. Sungmin and Ryeowook took the job of opening all the windows and letting in the slight breeze that would go by. Kangin had left the apartment without a word except promising that he would be back soon. The rest of the Super Junior members laid on the living room ground, watching a documentary about Antarctica that Yesung had picked out. Everyone groaned as the TV screen flashed a picture of falling snow by a lake. Siwon and Hankyung had tossed their shirts to some unknown area as the temperature raised. Kyuhyun had been the lucky one sitting next to Siwon as he took off his shirt. Kyuhyun quickly glanced at Siwon's toned body and his heartbeat had quickened, making him avert his eyes toward something else to distract him. His eyes landed on the door as Kangin bursted in, sweating from head to toe, but with a huge grin plastered on his face.
"Look what I bought at the market!" he announced as he set five grocery bags on the table. The members quickly gathered around and they peered inside the bags.
"Watermelons!" Eeteuk exclaimed as he reached in to pick one out. Thirteen pairs of hands reached out and touched the cool shell of the watermelon. Sighs were heard as skin came in contact with the fruit. Kyuhyun was squished uncomfortably between Siwon and Sungmin, and he felt Siwon's bare chest press against his back. He quickly withdrew his hands and said, "Can we eat it now? I'll cut it up and bring it to the patio. You guys can wait out there if you want." Everyone nodded in agreement and headed out. Kyuhyun turned and started to take the watermelons out from the bags, humming to himself.
"Do you want some help?" a voice suddenly said. Kyuhyun jumped a bit and turned, facing Siwon, who looked at him, raising his shibrows.
"N-n-no. I'm fine. You can go wait outside with the others," Kyuhyun stammered as he ushered Siwon out. Siwon shrugged and headed out. When Kyuhyun was finally alone, he sighed as he fanned himself. Being in the same room with a shirtless Siwon was probably not the best thing to do on such a hot day...
-Out on the patio-
"Okay! Here's the watermelon!" Kyuhyn carried a tray of cut watermelons out to the members. Everyone crowded around and reached to take a slice. Watermelon juice dribbled down everyone's chin as they savored the cold fruit under the sun that beat down on them. Kyuhyun pressed a slice to his lips and felt the cold transfer from the fruit to his lips. Before long, Donghae and Eunhyuk had run off to play soccer, Shindong and Hankyung headed inside to take a nap, and Sungmin and Ryeowook were dragged off by Yesung to finish the Antarctica film. Everyone else had fell asleep under the shade with a slice of watermelon still in their hands.
Kyuhyun had settled down on the grass and leaned against the wall of the building, he had closed his eyes and listened to the cars that drove by on the highway a few meters away. Suddenly, he heard the grass next to him being disturbed. Opening one eye, he spotted Siwon sitting down next to him.
"Hey," Siwon greeted. Kyuhyun opened his other eye and smiled, "Hey" Siwon leaned against the wall too and turned to Kyuhyun and awkwardly said, "Thanks for cutting the watermelons today," Kyuhyun nodded and watched as Siwon licked his lips while wiping off the sweat on his neck.The silence lingered for a moment before Kyuhyun reached out and gently kissed Siwon on his lips. His tongue slowly licked Siwon's lips that were slightingly opened in surprised. When he pulled away, Kyuhyun licked his own lips again, it tasted like watermelons.
