It does seem that she is not learning anything from this lesson. She made a mistake so she should have to accept the consequences of her actions. She might realise that she has had a lucky escape this time or she might think that family can pull strings for her in the future and learn nothing.

Is this the same sister who reversed and smashed the car or was that your older sister?

OMG. I hate that response,"Well when you have your own children"...its stupid, I mean what the heck kind of sense does it make? She's your sister! She doesn't need to be your child for you to care, and want her to learn from her mistakes.
