Pen repair

I think I have just done in the nib on a reasonably-nice Parker fountain pen; I don't think it's worth more than £20, but it was an 18th birthday present, and I'd like it repaired. Does anyone know where to go? The Parker website isn't that helpful ( Read more... )

You could try that pen shop opposite Magdalen? If they can't repair it they can always tell you where to go...

I had forgotten about that! I will have to go into that tomorrow.

I've also found a chain of pen repairers that sell the pens I need repaired, as well repair pens. I'll email them, see what they think.

Don't go there, they are evil. they will be just looking at your pen, and say, this pen is too cheap, the repair will cost it more than buying a new one. they are evil evil evil!!!!!!!! they are not helpful. they only sell pens but dont repair them.

Eurk! Bugger that. One of the pens is only worth about £20, but the fountain pen is worth (when new) between £40 and £60.
