its totally worth going on the wait list. my friend was wait listed at the CFT centre in guelph when she applied to grad school, and she totally got in because someone backed out.

happened to someone else i know too.

if its what you want, there's no harm in being put on the list.

For me, Million Little Pieces spoke to the place I was in my life right then, struggling with anger and personal addictions, obviously not that severe, but parallel in their own way. Especially since I know some addicts, recovering addicts, and my mom works in addiction counselling, there was a lot that really rang true.

His second book, My Friend Leonard, HELLO WASTE OF PAPER.

"I got up. I walked down the street. There were trees. The trees were like....trees."

I'd rather gouge out my eyes with spoons.

books are so subjective. they speak to different people in different ways.

to one person, it will ring true because of their personal experiences and their mindset at the moment that they read it. they'll form a connection with the book.

for others, if it doesn't ring true to them, then they don't form the connection to the book.

its a tomato, tomahto situation. to each their own.
