Brushing the dust off this thing

It's been a while since I actually posted anything substantial to this. It had really gotten to the point I was thinking of deleting all the back entries, and just keeping it for a friends page. I went so far as actually going back through old entries to delete them before I realized how nice it was when I was actually writing stuff. Thus I've ( Read more... )

P.S. Not that I really need to tell you this, but just in case, stress your undergraduate research and any summer research you did on your resume. Because it makes it clear that you have more than just lecture experience in chemistry. You'd be surprised how impressive people find that.

i can second this notion. it sucks, but you just gotta grind through it. and you'll probably end up trying all sorts of avenues to lose yourself in. hence why i now sport Debian as a dual boot.

speaking of which, you should go ahead and upgrade to FC4 instead of running 3. Security issues aside, i'm not sure what the update entails, but it might help out your kde/gnome issue you were talking about. music, that's what it was. music issue

lastly, as a chem major, you can work in a brewery! at one point in time I was going to major in nuclear chemistry. If i didn't end up working on a boat/ship I figured i could move to colorado or something and work for a pub/brewery. I happened to notice a "now hiring chemists" sign when i was taking a few tours.
