Is this good news or bad news? Goodbye Virgin, Hello Urban Outfitters. I'm torn.

I only wish it were H&M rather than UO. As Tim Gunn says, "What IKEA did for furniture, H&M has done for clothing."

If you live in Salt Lake/UT and can enjoy vegan food you MUST check out Vertical Diner. Today I tried the "Tiger Tenders" which is the most ( Read more... )

The Broken Record/Todd's Bar & Grill has an amazing menu and at amazing prices.

amazing prices, yes. amazing menu ... mmm, no. not that the french toast was bad, but french toast in my mind <> "amazing".

Vertical, though. now you're talking!

Ok, so maybe the menu isn't the best selling point, but that vegan scrambler sure is. Remember, you don't love breakfast foods the way I do. \/

Urban Outfitters and Virgin have all the same junk/books -- I thought it was the same company.

Not that I don't like junk and books.

It's true. They really have the same books/junk...it's the clothes vs. CDs that separates them. Either way it's fun for browsing.

i've eaten at the Vertical Diner once, it was ok. horrible service, and everything they have, Sage's pulls off better IMO (those chiken tenders are testy though) , which is strange because Ian owns both.

i'll have to check the Broken Record... when would one eat there?

i'm glad to see Virgin go... not that stoked on Urban Outfitters because of how they've fucked over artists, but whatever.

The first time I went to Vertical I was thinking the same thing...it took a second visit (and chicken tenders) to convince me that I need to eat there more often.

The Broken Record only does brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 - 3. Best vegan scramble ever! And if you order something that requires syrup, they serve it in a shot glass. Too cute.

Thanks so much for the heads up on Vertical, fried chicken is the one thing that I have not been able to find veggie substitute for so I will definitely check it out!

And I love brunch at Todd's, my complaint is that every time I go (which is pretty frequent) we usually wait about 45 minutes for our food. I think that Jake must be the only person in the kitchen on Sundays!

I'm glad you've had brunch at Todd's. That sucks about the wait though.

I can't wait to hear what you think of Vertical. That "chicken" is amazing!
