ZOMBIES in SLC 7.13

Jul 12, 2007 09:24

Just got the press release about a SLC, UT - Tomorrow, on Friday the 13th, the legions of the undead will rise and march through the streets of downtown Salt Lake City.  The Slapstick Association, a student group at the University of Utah, is organizing its first ever "Zombie March."  Actors from the UofU, the local improv community, and the interactive haunted house attraction "The Castle of Chaos" will convene at the Off Broadway Theatre (272 S Main St) at 6:00pm and proceed to shamble along the Trax line up to the UofU Union Building, moaning for brains and banging shop windows all along the way.  Once at the Union, the living dead will celebrate their journey with a screening of the Fuzzyco short film "Zombies!" as well as free performances by The Thrillionaires Improv, and The Neutrino Project: The Improvised Movie.

This Zombie march is free and open to participants of all ages.  Make-up supplies and water bottles for the
journey will be supplied.  Actors will be asked to play both zombies and zombie "victims."  There will
also be door prizes given out at the Union, strictly for the walking corpses.  The distance of the march is
approximately 2.5 miles.  However, the route will be following the Trax line, and tired participants may
cheat by taking the train part of the way.  Those looking for more information may call Joseph at
