Reading posts I can't help wondering if most people on the internet aren't really just talking to themselves. Think about it- all the information, we read and write and read, people's days, events, moods, but how much can one really absorb? I mean really slow down, feel, digest and assimilate into usable data? Current society is ridiculous and ( Read more... )

No you are not lazy in action; you act towards your beliefs all the time. Plus you are right in the center of the process of awakening but you can't see it right now. Everything you do is a part of it. Life is the process.

It's weird, but I don't think there is an actual goal; it's not like 'eventually we will reach a goal if we travel far enough'. Buddha emphasized that we and all beings ARE in nirvana already; there is nowhere to 'get to', there is only obstacles of understanding to be removed. I think we get stuck in this linear worldview where we are always moving to a destination, but even in quantum mechanics the idea of distance is suspect, because the observer is the center of all and changes particle reality around this unmoving center, so distance is really a matter of how you look at it =).
