Yesterday Jessica and I talked. Since she has this fantastic Halloween costume and neither one of us has any friends to speak of, and certainly not any parties to go to (within walking/ride-with-a-sober-friend distance), perhaps we should have a virtual halloween party ( Read more... )

Fun! I'm just gonna include a picture of my Halloween costume from two years ago, because I doubt I'll ever top it. I'm the one on the far right, obviously. (Sorry I couldn't crop the other people from the party out of the picture, but my laptop doesn't have any decent photo software. Feel free to edit it if you'd like.)

My uncle Dave (whose nickname is, in fact, "Devo") gave me the hat once I'd become an even bigger Devo fan than he was back in the '80s. Still am, in fact. 'Twas a nifty passing of the torch, and I still feel honored to have it.

If only I could write songs as good as those on Freedom of Choice or Duty Now for the Future...

Thanks for "having" it. I was going to suggest that Jessica take a picture of her costume and post it anyway. Also, I should call you to chat again sometime (or vice versa), and we should figure out if we'll both be in T-roy at all at the same time at Christmas :)
