Well, Ken Jennings finally lost. It was really only a matter of time before he went into a close-game Final Jeopardy without knowing the answer. He also didn't get the other two Daily Doubles, which is extremely rare for him ( Read more... )

Ah, that's true.

That's still pretty crazy, though. I think he's made something like 45x his annual salary (well, the entire $2.5M was that much, at least). Sometimes in a single episode he'd win as much as he makes in a year.

On another note, I was so pissed about the Gilbert essays. I can't believe i used "we" for the photography one. Although, I did relatively well on the other two so i guess it all balances out. Oy...

Yeah, that does suck, but, like you said, at least the other two balance it out.

The prompt was kind of misleading in terms of being able to use "we," because it said "write an essay in which you defend or refute Sontag's claim that photography limits our understanding of the world."
