[He hasn't quite noticed his stalker. After he grabs a book he's interested in, he abruptly teleports to the top of the shelf, sitting on top of it with one foot dangling down over the side and his tail hanging from the other side.]

[If Kurt had just wandered in like the others, Mikage really wouldn't have noticed, even with the fur. But teleporting is really hard to miss, so as soon as Kurt bamfs into place, Mikage glances over.

[... oh, sup Mikage. This is a little awkward given how much time they've been having their little sword sparring.

He gives an awkward grin.]

[The name sounds vaguely familiar, which is surprising, since he was fairly sure he'd remember, you know... him. So if anything, he just looks even more perplexed.]

You been here long? I don't... I mean, I've got the feeling I'd recognize you. You sorta stand out.

[Rogue is yawning and heading over to their house's kitchen for her first cup of coffee. There had better be coffee left. She catches Kurt just as he's about to leave.]

[Psh coffee, who needs coffee? He glances back at Rogue, a worried grin on his face.]

Not this time. This time... I'm going out as the real me.

[...obviously she does, if they're going to be having this conversation. She pours herself a cup and glances at him sidelong.

Because she was never one of the ones who got on your case about keeping the holo on even after the rest of them had been exposed. She knows what it's like more than most to want to be normal. You've been here like this for months before making this decision.

And normally? She wouldn't care. She'd smile and say 'Good for you' and start looking for the cream for her coffee. But the last time the good people of Luceti saw you like this, you were kind of your evil alter-ego. And maybe they got to you in time before he hurt anyone and maybe they didn't, but she's pretty sure that he at least got into a tussle with one of Batman's 'associates' and that's not exactly conducive to your continued health and happiness.

Which means that as the oldest she needs to hear a reason. ...there'd better be a lot of caffeine in this coffee.]

[Ah... he stops at the door. Well, he should've figured this was coming. Which means providing an answer... a good one. Okay, he can do this.]

A lot of people have seen me like this already. I've... well, freaked a few of them out, definitely. [Just like he did with you, Kitty, and a lot of the New Mutants.] And some of them didn't even care. People don't hate mutants or people who are different, so... this seems like the right thing to do. I've lost my watch here once. If it happens again, I don't want to spend that time just... hiding.

[The week that Kitty was gone, at that. One of the hardest he had to go through in Luceti. Kurt hadn't been that lonely for years. He knows that, inevitably, no one will ever think of him as a normal person again. That is the biggest thing he loses there. He'll be that 'weird blue guy' from now on.]
