She was pretty cool. [...] You know, she wrote a few stories with you in them. One of them even has you as an elf.

She did? [ THAT STUPID EXPERIMENT but she's so touched. ]

She did. You should come pick them up. Some of them are pretty funny. [In an accidental, embarrassing sort of way.]

[Melanie isn't entirely sure what to say or do. She never actually met Anne, but she was close to Kurt so it'd feel weird to just ignore the post. He sounds okay, but it can't hurt to check up on him. So, she heads over to house sixteen to pay him a visit, but eventually spots a familiar blue figure on the roof.

Melanie learned how to scale buildings and the like thanks to her family (in case there was ever a situation where their cards malfunctioned), so getting to the roof of the house isn't much trouble. She'll come up behind him, but Melanie isn't trying to be stealthy right now, so it won't be hard to hear her.]

[Not stealthy at all. But he sets aside his journal and smiles once he realizes who it is.]

I could have just 'ported down, you know.

[She grins and takes a seat next to him.]

Maybe, but where's the fun in that?

Fair enough. [He scoots just a bit to make room for her. She might not notice, but he has his tail curl up behind and around her. He's only doing that because he doesn't want her falling off or anything. Not everyone is as handy on a roof as he is.] I guess you heard on the journal, yeah?

Though I don't think your name was Marilla.

It's what she said in a book, anyway. So yeah... definitely not Marilla.

It's a cute name, but not quite one for a guy. [ She giggles, but the time's helped her remember. ] More like...Kurt, right?

It's nice that she left you a story to remember her by. [ ...no she actually hasn't gotten into that whole meta thing. she just thinks it's a story written by Anne herself. ]

Ah. Yeah, Kurt. The fuzzy guy.

[Oh right. He thinks he remembers her now. He ran into her when she was new here. The name... the name. Hm.]

I guess you could say that. She left a lot of them, actually.

[Silly Kurt, always on the roof. It's late in the afternoon when Ororo finally goes up there, floating on a breeze. She's careful to keep it gentle; she doesn't want to send papers, if he's still got any with him, flying.]

Still up here, Kurt?

[Gosh Ororo, showing off your flying. By now, Kurt is just reading a story about "Errol Flynn" and "Lady Cordelia". It's so sickeningly sweet. He's wearing a dumb sort of smile when she shows up.]

Ah, yeah, I guess so. Am I late for something?

[The thing about Kurt's smiles was that they were always infectious. Ororo finds herself grinning back.]

Nothing in particular, no. I just thought it rather out of character that you have yet to pop down into the kitchen for something to eat, today.

I haven't? [Thinking back, he realizes he's been outside most of the day. But thinking about food is making him a little hungry now.] I guess I hadn't been thinking about it.
