you are paying a landlord. not the bank that owns the property. it is up to them what they do with the money.
and since the bank cant have people living in the property once they own it for liability reasons, you get this problem.
Of course, the big problem is hat landlords have no obligation to tell a renter once the foreclosure process starts... and that actually takes many many months... but fo course, if I'm jill landlord, I want to not have my renters moving out and taking away even more of my cashflow. So you jsut dont tell them.
then the cops come and everything goes south in a hurry.
