The Dark Knight (spoilers under lj cut)

First of all, my opinion of the movie: Very, very good. Personally, it's not a masterpiece (my idea of a masterpiece movie is one that could honestly not be improved upon, and this one could), but it's pretty damn close.

Getting to this several days after the fact, but yes.

Of course The Joker is a hypocrite. And yet, he isn't. As the line goes, The Joker has no rules. But isn't having no rules, in itself, a rule? Couldn't he break that rule? Indeed, wouldn't he have to? He has a plan, but at the same time, he doesn't. His plan is unbelievably detailed, but if it falls apart, it doesn't really matter to The Joker, because he has no true goal. As he said, he is a dog chasing a car. He simply does things, and he's willing to die for absolutely nothing.

So yeah, the guy's a walking paradox. It only really makes sense if you're the Joker. The other mini-rants are really just opinion, but I felt the need to address this one.
