Shower! Shower! Shower!

So last night when I was showering I saw a spider commit suicide! It just seriously walked into the water in my tub (while i was in it) and died. That made me think, can spiders even intentionally die? If humans are capable of being so unhappy that they kill themselves don't you think animals and insects would be able to as well?
