It's finally over

Nov 04, 2008 22:05

It has happened, for the first time in my voting life I can be proud of the person voted into office. The reign of shit and terror is over and we can begin progressing as a country again. Bush, while you hold some respect from me for having such a high ranking office, I am glad that you will be blown off into obscurity and will only have parody ( Read more... )

McCain's concession speech was one of the great speeches, seriously. It was very, very good, and McCain really comes off as a genuine dude. It's too bad he had to hook himself into the religious right-wing nutbar contingent to get as far as he did. Those fucking people are scary, and by "scary fucking people," I mean "Sarah Fucking Palin."

A friend of mine has bought and set up http://www.fucksarahpalin.org. Check it out and get it out there, in case she does decide to stay on the scene (heaven forbid).

I hope Palin runs in 2012 and gets the repub nomination because a Palin vs Obama race would be too easy to win. I could just picture a Palin vs Obama debate hahaha. Although they would probably set the bar on the floor for Palin like they did for the veep debate. All she had to do was not throw up on stage and wink at the camera a couple times and they would say she did a good job.

She is the most polarizing person in modern politics right now. I can't back up saying that other than saying I haven't met anybody who is indifferent to her, it's either pure infatuation or pure seething hatred. If you are polarizing like that you can't win, you have to have indifferent people to vote for you otherwise you won't get any independants and you will lose. This was the same reason that I thought Obama could win over Hillary. Also, you should ask an Alaskan why Wasilla is nick named Wasyphillis lol ;)

I have several Alaskan friends who are fond of her.
Lets never discuss Palin. You know I like her and I am not going to talk shit about Obama even if I don't at all like his politics.

Lots of good people have very polorizing views, Obama as far as I know is a good enough person, as is Palin, as is McCain, etc. We can disagree on the politics of it and that is fine, but I am just tired of all the hate people have, you know?

I can't not hate Palin though :(

She's taken all the hard work every female politician has ever strived for to get into higher offices and treated it like a beauty pageant. I mean didn't you watch any of her interviews or even see the veep debate?! There are countless other women in politics that were way more qualified and way better at what they do that should have been chosen over her :(
