I'm too tired to do this justice right now, but this: My sister and her family are going to have to move away from here. I'm sad and angry about the situation. I feel duped by the universe. OMG... I'm so very sorry to hear this news. I can totally understand why you would feel tricked by the universe. (I'm assuming this wasn't something your sister and her family could have foreseen?)

I hope you continue to find happiness in your new home and location nonetheless. But yeah, wow, I'd be sad too.

Speaking as onecrazymother's sister, I can attest that we didn't see it coming at all. And, as much as I'm trying to put a positive face on the situation, I will quietly state here in this safe space that I am also feeling sadness about this. I am grateful, at least, that we're moving to a place with some familiarity that's still only one (long) day's drive away, not someplace much more remote and alien-feeling, which also could have happened.

Yes, it's preferable than some of the possibilities were. And there's a lot of good there. And life unfolds in unpredictable ways. And yes, it's only one long drive away, and we have an aunt who lives at the half-way point, which is also a nice place to be.

And I do know that this is even harder for you than it is for me. I've just been through this on the other end of things.

lots of love, and breath, and quiet, and, some boxes. As I keep unpacking, I'll bring the good boxes over and help you repack 'em.

I'm sorry that they are leaving, and I can imagine how much you will miss having them as close by as they are. At least they are moving for new job reasons, which is good news, even if it's not locally.
