i think you might be a little too um... close-minded i guess? okay that's kind of a harsh word, but come on. you can't put people down because they don't like hardcore anymore. for some people, like you, it's a life thing. for others, it's a phase. you can't judge them like that, or see yourself as superior to them because of it.
no, no, I see what you mean. And I acknowledged that, BUT I think that it's still reasonable for me to feel like I have been betrayed because I am still into it and they're not. But in the end, you're probably right.
why have they "betrayed" you just coz they're not into hardcore anymore? that's what i was wondering. you're making it seem like you can't be friends with someone just because they're not into the same stuff you are, and the reason i posted is because i'm concerned about that.
well, it just seems to me that they were really into it one day, and not into it the next. And at least to me, it's not just something you're into (to the degree they were) and then not. And I am still friends with them, just not as much. I mean, because of it we don't hang out as much anymore. I also have lots of friends who aren't into hardcore at all, case in point with thought number one, and perhaps in this case our friendship's disentegration had more factors than just hardcore/straightedge.
