The best cure for such disorientation is observation of the local peoples, of course. Or one might speak to one of them and ask his advice for the best places for temporary lodgings.

Wise advice. However, I did not find the directive "Just go find an empty apartment, newbie," very helpful.

Still, everyone and everything here is certainly worthy of observation. I've never seen anything like it it my travels.
