How come all these beings who consider themselves of higher power feel the need to cleanse the earth? If it's really as bad as they say it is, then why not let it rip itself to shreds. I really don't see where people get the idea that they have the authority to "cleanse" the Earth ( Read more... )

I would think that they would be above that kind of thing; or at least know how stupid it is. Kind of like that guy who tried to sell cocaine on e-bay.

But then again, maybe the only people who can stop them don't read the foroms.

This is a very controversial assumption, even if it is an interesting one.

I'm sure you realize that not all powerful - and furthermore bored - people wish to cleanse the world. There are those who use their strength to negatively impact it. It may just be that those actions bring upon the wish to benefit the world; your general good vs. evil scenario.

In other words, those powerful people may be retaliating against malevolent forces.

I'm sorry to say every oversized mythological creature I've run into do want to cleanse the world. Of course, I can pin everyone with alot of power down and say "You are evil", because it's untrue.

And I can only hope that half the time this is some sort of childish rebellion. After all, I only know too well how that feels...
