This was so wonderfully sweet and hot and so beautifully THEM!

Giles denying his own feelings to "take care" of Xander without pressuring Xander. Xander so tired and world-weary and turning to Giles for comfort but not believing that Giles could actually care. I loved the look into Giles' thoughts as he "logic-ed" it out as to WHY he was doing this for Xander and how he couldn't allow himself to feel too much... and then deciding that "perhaps it wouldn't hurt to allow himself to have something that he wanted, for the first time in quite a long while.

I loved the quiet banter between them. The comment of "not bad for an old guy" and "you're talking about the bed, right?". So very in character.

So. LOVED the story. Would LOVE to see more with this (because there just ISN'T enough Giles/Xander love out there in my opinion - and this is WONDERFUL!). And thank you SO MUCH for sharing.

That was beautifully done. Hurting, world-weary Xander taking comfort in someone he thinks he'll never really have, and Giles wanting and not daring to think he can keep the object of his desire. So glad Giles let those little words slip.

And don't worry about there not being enough sex, what is there was quite enough to do the job. *g*
