People are jackasses, man. I mean, best friends, I don't know. Every...well, okay, the only best friend I ever had was completely self-absorbed and really bossy, but I didn't see it at the time because I was five, though I knew I felt it. I guess, bottomline, people can't be trusted, or relied on for anything. If you're feeling bad, and the one person you "trust" isn't there for you...you have to get to a level where that is fine, for that time. Try again later, which it seems you're already doing. So, I guess grow a thicker skin, or get better friends. Both of which are very difficult.
